Everyone has an impact. The anthropologist Jane Goodall said, “You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” Real estate managers understand this, because every day they’re making decisions that make a difference to those they serve. These efforts have an effect on tenants and residents, owners and investors, and on their teams and communities. At IREM, we work together to maximize the positive results of our work by sharing knowledge, resources, and experience. IREM is changing We recognize that the world continually changes, especially over the past few years, and to remain relevant, IREM is evolving along with it. We’re expanding our reach by opening doors to new talent. We’re leading the way on new technologies that make us more efficient and productive. And we’re improving the IREM experience for members at all levels of our organization. Real estate management is a dynamic profession where you can find the path that’s best for you, and we’re here to guide you. IREM leadership is evolving, too. In 2023, for the first time in its history, the organization will be led by an all-woman officer team. This milestone was reached naturally, since women make up about 50% of all property managers, and IREM has experienced strong growth in female membership. Most importantly, this leadership team has the skills and talent to take IREM to the next level of advancing the real estate management profession.
